The Engine bay detail.

At KTDetailing, we provide premium engine bay detailing services that will leave your car's engine bay looking like brand new.

Within this package not only is the top section of the engine bay cleaned by removing all dirt, grime and oily sludge build up but we clean the underside aswell to make sure that the full engine bay is as clean as possible ( with out removing any plastic trims. This is charged at a slight extra cost due to the time it takes to safely remove the trim without damaging or snapping any of the fixings ).

Full Process :

The engine bay is is left to thoroughly down before any thing is started on it.
All loose debris is removed i.e. leaves, twigs.
All easy to remove ( push fit ) engine bay plastics lifted off.
Plastics are all sprayed up with a dedicated cleaner to soak into any and all dirt, grime and grease deposits before cleaning.
Engine bay is pre-sprayed with a dedicated engine degreaser and left to soak.
The engine bay is then either steam cleaned OR pressure washed before agitation.
Agitation of the full engine bay is now done using various brushes to clean all the areas.
The vehicle is now jacked up on to axel stands.
Engine bay and Gearbox trays removed ( extra costs involved ).
All underneath of the engine bay is now sprayed up and left to soak.
The underside of the bay is now agitated and either steam cleaned OR pressure washed clean.
Everything is checked and if needed then gone over again.
Once all cleaned then its hot air dried.
Spray on protection is applied to the engine bay.
All engine bay plastics ( underside trims if fitted ) are conditioned with a long lasting plastic conditioner.

Time taken :

Time depends on engine bay condituin along with whit trim/ carpets need removing. On average this package takes 4hrs - 6hrs to complete.

* Prices shown are “priced from £££ ” The quote will vary depending on the vehicles size/condition ( heavily pitted, soiled, badly scratched, heavily contaminated etc etc ).
* If engine bay plastics/trim/underside covers need to be removed for cleaning then we will do our absolute best to make sure that any fixings/clips/screws/bolts or similar are not damaged BUT due to rusting they can snap and we will NOT be able to refit as these are not items we hold in stock and will need to be ordered by yourself.
* If the vehicle has underside engine and gearbox covers that need to be removed to detail the engine bay/ underside of the vehicle this will incur added costs.

Highly recommended :

We strongly suggest that as part of this Engine Bay Detail package that you add on a full thorough safe wash aswell. This is due to the dirt and grime that can be sprayed up onto the rest of the bodywork when detailing the engine bay.
